We are an unincorporated non-profit association of insurers. FA operates in Ontario, Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Yukon, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories.
Every insurer licensed to write automobile liability insurance in these jurisdictions is a member of Facility Association. The affairs and business of FA is managed and controlled by a Board of Directors with authority Canada-wide. The President and CEO is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and management of staff.

About the Role
The Facility Association (FA) Actuarial and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team offers opportunities to work collaboratively in risk management and work with stakeholders across the organization on cross-functional projects. This specific role focuses on supporting the overall ERM Framework delivery and operations to support FA's ability to achieve its strategic priorities and objectives through risk-informed decision-making.
We are seeking a co-op student for either a 4-month or 8-month contract.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares, validates, analyzes risk dashboards and produces key reporting deliverables/status reports.
- Supports the development/refinement of key risk indicators and risk dashboards.
- Works with Risk Owners to identify, manage, and gather data on a timely basis for key risk indicators to help inform better decision making.
- Assists in the identification and maintenance of risks and their associated mitigation plans.
- Assists in ensuring the program is meeting its key milestone dates for FA's annual attestation.
Experience and Qualifications
As an ERM analyst co-op student, you demonstrate:
- Enrollment in a University or College degree in Business, Finance, Statistics or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in Data Analysis is an asset.
- Experience or knowledge in Tableau, Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Detail and deadline oriented.
- Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and adapt to changes in technology and processes.
- Demonstrated desire to learn and apply learning on-the-job.
- Property and Casualty insurance experience is an asset.
